2008 Rally VENDORS

$20 buys you a 3 day pass to all events and activities inside the rally grounds. Included in the purchase of your armband is a raffle ticket which gives you a chance to win a 2008 Harley Davidson Nightster. You may purchase more raffle tickets if you want inside the rally grounds.

 

Is tent camping available? Yes. You may set up your tent around the shady confines of Lake Talbot.Some picnic tables are available for your use. Showers are a short walk from the camping area. All campsites are on a first come first served basis and is included in the price of admission. The Kansas State Fair does not allow open fires anywhere on their property.

 

What about RV space? The Kansas State Fair offers one of the nicest RV parks around, with paved roads and all services. The cost for an RV spot is $75 for the 3 days, and are reserved by calling 620-474-2722. 30 or 50 amp plug ins are available.

 

I like staying in a Hotel, Which one is best? We have partnered with Grand Prairie Hotel, located at 1400 North Lorraine in Hutchinson. When you call for reservation at 620-669-9311 be sure to mention "the Crossroads of America Rally" to receive the  special rally rate. This 218 room hotel is the nicest in Hutchinson and offers a reserved parking area for motorcycles.

 

What is the benefit to Pre-Registering for the Rally? If you pre-register by June 1st, you will receive a Rally free pin or patch. That is one small benefit. You may sign up your bike for the Bike show, sign up for the poker run and reserve your space in our RV lot all at one time by pre-registering. This will save you lots of time.

 

 

How do I enter my bike into the bike show? You can enter your bike in the bike show upon entering the rally or when you pre-register. |You may enter your bike anytime after 9am on Sat, the judging ends at 4pm. The bike show will be held inside the massive Meadowlark building. The 7 classes are.. Metric, Trike ,Antique 35 years or older, American Cruiser-non Harley, Harley all others, and Best of Show.All classes except best of Show will be judged by our celebrity bike builders. The best of Show will be judged by votes cast by the rally attendees, Trophies will be awarded to all classes with the Best of Show receiving a trophy and a cash prize.

 

What time is the poker run and how do I sign up? The poker run is Saturday July 12th. Sign-up begins at 8am  at gate 3, with the first bike out at 9am. $10 for the first hand and $5 for each hand after that.You may sign up the day of the poker run, or when you pre-register. 1st place prize is $1000. If we have a tie, the pot will be split by all winners. a $250 prize will be awarded to the person with the worst hand.

 

I want to participate in the bike games and the poker run, what do i do? This year the bike games and the poker run will not overlap. Bike games start at 2pm and hopefully all riders will be done with the poker run.The burn-out pit will run all day Fri. and Saturday . Trophies and cash Prizes will be awarded to all winners of the bike games and for best burn out.

 

Can I come and go as I please? Yes. As soon as you purchase your armband you may come and go at the rally as you wish.

 

I noticed you are opening later on Friday this year, why so? After many suggestions we decided to open the gates at 5pm on Friday this year. Most people will be off work and ready for the weekend. This will give our vendors and entertainment more time to prepare for the rally.Tent campers and RVs may still set-up anytime on Friday.

 

I've bought raffle tickets for the Harley give-away. How do I know if I won? Hopefully you will be present at the rally like last years winner Tiffanie Steele. We draw for the 1200 Nightster on Saturday the 12th of July at 7pm on the T-95 stage.If you are not present we will call you.

 

I want to enter the beer belly/ Miss crossroads contest! There will be a table by the T-95 stage all day Friday and Saturday leading up to the contest. The beer belly contest will be at 6pm with the Miss Crossroads contest following shortly after.Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to all winners.

 

What's different about this year? Besides dropping the price of admission, we have added more entertainment to this years line-up. Our headliner bands, Geneva and DB Bryant are widely regarded as two of the best Bike rally bands in the Nation.They are as excited to play at our rally as we are excited in having them.

 

What can I do to enhance my experience at this years' rally? Tell all your friends and all your family to come to the crossroads. as with any party, the more people the better. We are constantly striving to bring you the best rally possible. With every ones participation, we will ensure our growth and continue to bring you more and more entertainment each year.

 

Whose crazy idea was this? Michelle Abernathy and Shane Copeland, longtime residents of Hutchinson, conceived the idea to bring a rally to their hometown in 2006. They were tired of traveling great distances to other rallies and paying $6 for a beer and $300 a night for a motel room. They have decided to bring a lil bit of the larger rallies to their hometown for all to enjoy. Being an affordable rally is one of their highest priorities.

 

Who attended last year? The 1st annual Crossroads Of America rally brought people from 22 states and 3 countries, and almost every town in Ks. With plenty of space to expand we are continually attempting to push our attendance figures.
